In fact, there appears to have been a temporary issue with "tearing" in the Ubuntu Software Center UI, but these were problems outside Software Center and we have had a reports that these issues are no longer occurring now. Therefore, based on your comment #5, I will close this bug. Hi herrleiche! From looking at your video, it actually looks more like you might be hitting issues in Software Center itself. I'd like to try to verify this, could you please try running Software Center from a terminal window as follows: $ software-center Then follow the steps to reproduce the issue, and paste any output in the terminal to this bug report.
