Did you run the command immediately after starting Banshee? It needs to be done when Banshee stops responding so that the stack trace reveals what Banshee is doing. -- Kind regards, Loong Jin -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to banshee in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873973 Title: Banshee stops responding frequently Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Frequency varies, but I'd say on average it freezes about once per hour. As far as I can tell there's no particular pattern to it - It happens whether or not I'm interacting with banshee or not. It also happens whether or not any music is playing. RAM and CPU usage are normal, so I'm pretty sure it's not freezing up for lack of resources. It seems like sometimes the music keeps playing and sometimes it doesn't. I suspect (although I haven't confirmed this) that it keeps playing the rest of whatever track it's on but doesn't go on to the next one. Did you run "killall -SIGQUIT banshee" as requested? Just killall won't work, as it sends SIGTERM by default.
