I think if we can build a list of of svn commits that we want to pull into
the 5.7.1 then can setup /w the needed changes. Any takers?

Re: [DISCUSS] - AcitveMQ 5.7.1 release

2012-11-21 Thread amexlion
Hello,

since most of the people here agreed with 5.7.1 release, I'm just wondering,
is there any concrete plan yet to release it? We are using 5.3 and are
planning to upgrade. If there will be a 5.7.1 soon than we would like to
wait. But if not, we will go for 5.7.0. Thanks.

Regards
Amex

I'm neutral on this one. No strong feelings either way, unless there was a
show-stopper bug fixed in the core product (not counting the XSS problem in
the demos).

We might also consider rolling any patches for the lease db locker. When I
had tested the original patch against oracle, it was working okay but folks
are now reporting that the functionality is broken in 5.7

And one of the fixes I would like to get in the 5.7.1 would also to
consider making it more secure out of the box. Eg the mail I posted
today about not including the samples out of the box, when starting
  the broker.

  Just a though.

+1 ... we should branch off the tag and back port those improvements.
