I checked with Ant 1.6.1 on Windows 2000 SP4 and I still found the same behavior as described in my initial post. If you do: concat append=yes destfile=a.txt fixlastline=yes fileset file=b.txt/ /concat with a.txt: Line1 and b.txt: Line2 both files not terminated with new line. If you concat a.txt and b.txt into a third file you will see the desired result.
