RE: [VOTE] Retire AriaTosca Podling

2018-06-27 Thread Doron Bleiberg
-1 At ECI Telecom we are checking whether to contribute for this project. This
will be done as part of the work on our MANO product. We will have final
resolution by the end of July, after we will complete our tools comparison and
selection.

This is a reminder that this Vote ends tomorrow and so far we seem to have
consensus to retire this podling.

Is Aria capable to manage service edits

2018-06-10 Thread Doron Bleiberg
I'm interested to understand how Aria should be used in order to edit a service.
Assuming I have already started the following service:
[cid:image001.png@01D40127.3B578210]

And now I would like to edit it, for example: inserting new VNF between the
vDNS and the vFirewall. How should I do it using Aria?
Some concerns:
Aria do not have a concept of edit service-template or edit service. This means
that I will have to create new template and service. When executing the install
workflow I will get a new instantiation of my service.

How can I use Aria, if possible, in order to only edit instantiated service? As
far as I understand, I will probably have to create my own 'edit' workflow. But
I will have to somehow use an edited service and an edited service-template and
be able to identify the differences between services and the identity of the
running instances in order not to deploy them again.

BR,
Doron
