Re: Podling Report Reminder - November 2016

2016-11-04 Thread Arthur Berezin
Thanks Ran!
To share some history, we started working on ARIA several months prior
acceptance as ASF Incubation project, thus we have several repos in
separate organizations on GitHub for Parser/Workflow/CLI/Plugins. For
example the new DSL parser currently lives under
https://github.com/aria-tosca/aria-ng, the workflow engine is a refactored
version we areusing in ARIA that comes from the Cloudify workflow engine.
We are in the process of unifying all components under the ASF repo to form
ARIA.
The new parser we are built for ARIA is already in use by the Open-O
project, which is where we receive bug reports at the moment.

During November we plan to have everything migrated to ASF.

Re: Podling Report Reminder - November 2016

2016-11-04 Thread Ran Ziv
Suneel - it's not completely like that - ARIA is a new project in most
senses, so there isn't many to migrate to the mailing lists. JIRA is a
different case though, and in a while we'll probably have others create
issues on there as well.

John - Arthur's meaning is that additional developers worked on something
that's intended to be integrated into ARIA in the very near future. they
haven't been admitted by the PMC. Basically this isn't relevant yet, the
line should probably be redacted.

same for the bug reports - these issues are relevant for code which will be
integrated into the ARIA project over the next couple of weeks, but at the
moment these bugs as well as the bug fixes are completely independent of
the ARIA project on apache.

apologies for the confusion, we're still in the process of merging code
pieces which were separate before together

Re: Podling Report Reminder - November 2016

2016-11-04 Thread John D. Ament
Ok... this is a bit confusing.

This line makes no sense -

- 2 addtional Gigaspaces developers joind ARIA.

Did we in fact vote them in? What does that mean?

- Recieving bug repors from Open-O community which indicates active users
of the TOSCA parser.

I don't see these in JIRA

2016-11-03 Thread Arthur Berezin
Okay, now I can access it but not edit, I might have hit some weird
Confluence cookies bug, where It showed me as signed in under
ariatosca instance, but I didn't really have an acount...

Anyway, now I've created an account with username "arthur", how do I gain
edit rights for the podling page
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/ARIATOSCA/Podling+Report+2016-11
?

Podling Report Reminder - November 2016

2016-10-31 Thread johndament
Dear podling,

This email was sent by an automated system on behalf of the Apache
Incubator PMC. It is an initial reminder to give you plenty of time to
prepare your quarterly board report.

The board meeting is scheduled for Wed, 16 November 2016, 10:30 am PDT.
The report for your podling will form a part of the Incubator PMC
report. The Incubator PMC requires your report to be submitted 2 weeks
before the board meeting, to allow sufficient time for review and
submission (Wed, November 02).

Please submit your report with sufficient time to allow the Incubator
PMC, and subsequently board members to review and digest. Again, the
very latest you should submit your report is 2 weeks prior to the board
meeting.

Thanks,

The Apache Incubator PMC

Submitting your Report

--

Your report should contain the following:

*   Your project name
* A brief description of your project, which assumes no knowledge of
the project or necessarily of its field
* A list of the three most important issues to address in the move
towards graduation.
* Any issues that the Incubator PMC or ASF Board might wish/need to be
aware of
* How has the community developed since the last report
* How has the project developed since the last report.

This should be appended to the Incubator Wiki page at:

http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/November2016

Note: This is manually populated. You may need to wait a little before
this page is created from a template.

Mentors
---

Mentors should review reports for their project(s) and sign them off on
the Incubator wiki page. Signing off reports shows that you are
following the project - projects that are not signed may raise alarms
for the Incubator PMC.
