Re: [RESULT] [VOTE] Retire AriaTosca Podling
Exactly what I meant. But King of Nothing does have a nice ring to it too. 8) —tom > On Jun 28, 2018, at 10:18 AM, Suneel Marthi wrote: > > ...u r still an Apache committer - (free floating committer now) :-) > > On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 10:14 AM, Tal Liron wrote: > >> On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 8:09 AM Thomas Nadeau >> wrote: >> >>> I fully intend to take the ASF Committer role seriously and help out/ >>> contribute to other projects as time permits going forward and look >>> forward to working >>> and collaborating with you all in the future. >>> >> >> We are only committers on AriaTosca, so now that it's being retired we are >> kings of nothing. :) >>
RE: [RESULT] [VOTE] Retire AriaTosca Podling
Hi All, Sorry, I couldn't respond earlier. Considering current situation, we need to go with the decision made by the community. I would like to mention our thanks to Tal, Thomas and others who worked so far and helped us during our days of ARIA contribution. Thanks Suneel for your support too. Hope to work with you sometime in future. All the best for the "Free Floating Committers" :) Thanks, DJ & Shen -Original Message- From: Tal Liron [mailto:tal.li...@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2018 10:38 AM To: dev@ariatosca.incubator.apache.org Subject: Re: [RESULT] [VOTE] Retire AriaTosca Podling "Free floating" does sound better than "king of nothing." ;) On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 9:18 AM Suneel Marthi wrote: > ...u r still an Apache committer - (free floating committer now) :-) > > On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 10:14 AM, Tal Liron wrote: > > > On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 8:09 AM Thomas Nadeau > > > > wrote: > > > > > I fully intend to take the ASF Committer role seriously and help > > > out/ contribute to other projects as time permits going forward > > > and look forward to working and collaborating with you all in the > > > future. > > > > > > > We are only committers on AriaTosca, so now that it's being retired > > we > are > > kings of nothing. :) > > >
Re: [RESULT] [VOTE] Retire AriaTosca Podling
Hi Now a vote must occur on the general@ list. Once that vote is complete then the podling retires. The -1 should also be recorded but we have provided proper justification for it to not be a blocker. "Free floating" does sound better than "king of nothing." ;) On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 9:18 AM Suneel Marthi wrote: > ...u r still an Apache committer - (free floating committer now) :-) > > On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 10:14 AM, Tal Liron wrote: > > > On Thu, Jun 28, 2018 at 8:09 AM Thomas Nadeau > > wrote: > > > > > I fully intend to take the ASF Committer role seriously and help out/ > > > contribute to other projects as time permits going forward and look > > > forward to working > > > and collaborating with you all in the future. > > > > > > > We are only committers on AriaTosca, so now that it's being retired we > are > > kings of nothing. :) > > >

Re: [RESULT] [VOTE] Retire AriaTosca Podling
+1 to thanking our mentors as well as to you and the other committers that welcomed me into the project. I wanted to say that I really enjoyed my time working on AriaTosca. It was my first Apache/ASF project and so learning/exploring that process was a fantastic experience. I fully intend to take the ASF Committer role seriously and help out/ contribute to other projects as time permits going forward and look forward to working and collaborating with you all in the future.
