Re: Test your account
It's totally fine to push with 1.5.0 snapshot. When ever needed just push it :) Masatake Iwasaki 於 2020年4月18日 週六 13:26 寫道: > Hi Jun, > > I ran `mvn site-deploy` following the wiki and checked the diff. > > If I publish the contents based on master branch now, > version number in the site will be updated from 1.4.0 to 1.5.0-SNAPSHOT. > This affects not only page headers but contents of > https://bigtop.apache.org/dependency-info.html > > It would be better to publish contents based on release-1.5.0 tag > after waiting for 1.5.0 release. > > Thanks, > Masatake Iwasaki > > On 2020/04/18 11:31, Jun HE wrote: > > Welcome Masatake! [jira] [Created] (BIGTOP-3341) Support for Openssl 1.1.1
Luca Toscano created BIGTOP-3341: Summary: Support for Openssl 1.1.1 Key: BIGTOP-3341 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-3341 Project: Bigtop Issue Type: Bug Affects Versions: 1.5.0 Reporter: Luca Toscano Hi! In https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-16647 support for Openssl 1.1.1 was added and backported to branch-3.3. The commit is the following: [https://github.com/apache/hadoop/commit/8f8be6b92a32982c2fd5be4647ebe1610a533dc3] Given that 1.5 will run on distributions where Openssl 1.1.1 will be the only option available (like Debian 10) it would be great to add this commit as patch on top of 2.10 (my understanding is that this is the Hadoop target version for 1.5). The author of the commit is [~iwasakims] that should also be in BigTop as far as I can see from the mailing list, so I'd like to get his opinion too :) If everybody agrees I'll file a pull request and do some testing as well. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)

Re: New Committer: Masatake Iwasaki
Well done, welcome! Please keep up your contributions, man! On 2020-04-18 01:58, Olaf Flebbe wrote: The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Bigtop has asked Masatake Iwasaki to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted! Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the proxy patch submission process. This should enable better productivity. Apache Bigtop practices CTR (commit-then-review) development process which means that you can checkin the code without a +1 from a committer. This doesn't mean that you're encouraged to do so. Instead, we strongly recommend you to seek for feedback before you commit. Please read the document before you act: * https://github.com/apache/bigtop#ctr-model If in doubt, exercise your best judgement and don't hesitate to ask questions on the dev@bigtop.apache.org mailing list. We're happy to have you on board and looking for many more contributions to come. Please join me in congratulating Masatake Iwasaki !
