1. Result/Vote: CEP-50: Authentication Negotiation”

The vote for this CEP has passed. Tickets will be created to track the 
implementation work.

2. Code Changes: Async Profiling in Cassandra” 
[Link]
The first PR introducing 
Async Profiling tools within Cassandra is now open. This integrates Async 
Profiler into the Cassandra process, which can be started/stopped via a JMX 
interface. See the PR and dev list for more details.

3. Cassandra Meetup

There’s a Cassandra Meetup next week in Sunnyvale, CA, hosted by Uber and the 
Apache Cassandra community. Use the

4. Apache Cassandra Analytics 0.1.0

Apache Cassandra Analytics 0.1.0 has been released. Congrats to everyone 
involved!

5. Migrating CLI Commands from Airline to PicoCLI 
[Link]
This work has been merged into trunk—a big win for the community, as Airline is 
deprecated. See the PR and dev list for more information.

6. ZSTD Dictionaries 
[Link]
A discussion is ongoing around using ZSTD dictionaries for SSTable compression 
to achieve potential space and cost savings. There’s strong interest, with a 
follow-up discussion planned.
