答复: hyper-v VR does not have management network
The status of VR in Infrastructure In cloudstack is starting for a long
time, then Stopped.
When the status is starting, we log on the VR from hyper-v host, then we
find that it can not ping from management of cloudstack successfully.
So we checked the networks of VR, and mailed to this list for help.

Network configuration in DB is correct.
What I mean to convey is, even linklocal network is present hyperv won't use
that linklocal network .
Can you please let us know what is that actual problem you are facing when
deploying the VR in Hyper-V setup.
So that we can help you looking at the logs and solve the issue.

Are you using traffic lables?
Hyperv will work only in dedicated zone only , you cannot replace esx host
with hyperv host and make the zone to work.
There are no issues with VR to run on Hyperv. It works well.
If you are using traffic lables, make sure the traffic lable matches to
vswitch name on the hyperv host. If there is not matching vswitch name it
can fail creating the VM.

Hi,
We use hyper-v as the hypervisor for cloudstack 4.4.1. The ssvm and cpvm
start successfully.
But the VR vm can not connect to the cloudstack management. We found that
the VR vm used guest virtual switch for the first and second network, and
public virtual switch for the third network, and several network without
virtual switch. So we checked the log in cloudstack management, and found
the parameters to create the CR vm, shown as follows:

Besides the zone for vmware esxi, we set up another zone for hyper-v with
windows smb for primary and secondary storage.
We use three lables for management, public and guest networks. The cpvm and
ssvm also have the correct management lable for management network traffic.
We set trunk port for the guest network in physical switch, access ports for
the management and public network traffic.
The traffic lables also match the virtual switch names in hyper-v host.

Are you using traffic lables?
Hyperv will work only in dedicated zone only , you cannot replace esx host
with hyperv host and make the zone to work.
There are no issues with VR to run on Hyperv. It works well.
If you are using traffic lables, make sure the traffic lable matches to
vswitch name on the hyperv host. If there is not matching vswitch name it
can fail creating the VM.

Hi,
We still can not run cloudstack 4.4.1 + hyperv successfully. The Hyperv ssvm
still can not start successfully.
We run cloudstack 4.4.1 in centos 6.5, not added into ad. A 2012 R2 Hyperv
server is used to create hyperv vm with two Ethernet, one for cloudstack
management, and an external switch created on the other enternet. This
hyperv server have been added to AD. A windows server 2012 is created for
the Primary and Secondary storage use SMB protocol, which also has been
added into ad.
When we start the whole zone. The ssvm can not start successfully. The log
of cloudstack is attached in this mail as named "error.log" and The error
log in Hyperv Server is only one as shown in "hyperv-server.png".
Should the cloudstack manage server be added into AD?

We have started a vm created ourselves using a vhd in the local Primary
storage successfully. The path of this vhd is like this:
\\192.168.1.80\Primary\fadc6026-3ab1-4b99-836a-c922070fb52a.vhd.
The event pasted in my last email comes from the log manager in hyperv host.
In the Mgmt. server log, the mgmt. server will stop the ssvm caused this
failure.
We also check the source code of the hyperv agent. The error may be caused
by the code in DeployVirtualMachine in WmiCallsV2.cs:

Hi,
To rule out SMB issues, in the global config can you enable true to create
systemvmvm's on local storage?
It will try to create systemvm;s on local storage.
Please look at the agent log in the log manager in hyperv host to find the
root cause for the ssvm start vm failure.
You can post the same logs of hyperv agent and mgmt. server log failure.

hyperv ssvm start failed
Hi all,
We use cloudstack 4.4.0 to manage a windows server 2012 dc hyper-v
host. Both of the primary and secondary storage are setup on this windows
hyper-v host using SMB protocol. The Virtual Switch in Hyperv is named
“VirtualNetork”.
when we start the zone, the ssvm is created in hyper-v, but it can not
start, and is destroy immediately. The error event in windows is as follows:

We have worked on this problem 3 days, and setup the new zone again and
again. But we still can not solve this problem.The Agentshell.exe is build
in our development environment.
