We are facing the issue only for root volumes in that host. The snapshot
recurring policy for data disks in same host is working fine.
if the host configuration is not properly instrumented the policy for data
disks also fails, but it is working fine.
please suggest us.

Note: The manual snapshots for root disk is working fine,and it is taking
child when second manual is configured , problem only with root daily
snapshots every day it is taking full instead of taking child snapshots
throwing error "*Failed to get parent snapshot**, due to There was a
failure communicating with the plugin*".

Hi All,

I am using CS 4.3.1 and xenserver 6.2
I have configured daily recurring snapshot policy for all the root volumes.
but recent three days onwards it is taking full snapshots and not taking
any child snapshots.
I have configured snapshot.delta.max to 16.
please help me my secondary storage is becoming full.

Hi All,

The usage records are still generating even if the vm is removed from
cloudstack.
The actual scenario is:
The xenserver host went to alert state and the vms in it are not accessible.
we have removed the vms from backend by updating vm_instance,volume table.
can any one help me what is the exact table to update?
i am using cloudstack 4.2

file is missing in that path.

Follow the steps to enable the database high availability in cloudstack.

1)   Go to the path:

*“/usr/share/cloudstack-management/webapps/client/WEB-INF/lib/”*

Find the *“cloud-plugin-database-mysqlha-4.3.1.jar”  *file.

2)   Create the path:

*“/usr/share/cloudstack-mysql-ha/lib/”*

Copy the above file to this path.

3)   Edit the file *“/etc/cloudstack/management/catalina.properties”*

check the *“common.loader” *line looks like:

*“common.loader=${catalina.base}/lib,${catalina.base}/lib/*.jar,${catalina.home}/lib,${catalina.home}/lib/*.jar,/usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java.jar,/usr/share/cloudstack-mysql-ha/lib/*.jar”*

4)   Edit the file *“/etc/cloudstack/management/db.properties”*

*db.ha.enabled=true*

*db.cloud.slaves=*

*db.usage.slaves=*

5)   Restart the management server.

Unable to Deploy Own Router in CS 4.5.1

Hi All,

I am using CS 4.5.1 and xen 6.2.
I want to deploy my own router instead of default CS router.
for that i have uploaded vyatta router into cloudstack as template. enabled
routing feature. changed global parameter " router.template.xenserver  "
to template id/uuid.
router is deployed from that template but it is still stuck at Starting
stage for a long time in CS UI, but it is running in xencenter.
What is the correct procedure to deploy our own router in cloudstack?
Is cloudstack support Vyatta router?
If not which 3rd party routers will support?
when vm is deployed under this router it is also stuck at starting stage.

Routing Feature while registering template.

Hi all,

while we are uploading template,there is a feature called "Routing",when it
is checked it is showing "check this if the template is used for deploying
router".
but i am unable to deploy router from that template.
 can any one tell me how to use this feature?
 Is there any possibility to use our own router instead of using cloudstack
router?
please tell me the procedure how to use this in cs 4.4.3.

I have tested in ACS 4.3.1 with Xenserver 6.2 as hyperviser.
When vm is down the name label remains same,but when the vm is live name
label changes.

Hi somesh,

I am able to deploy vm's when the template is in primary storage.i have
manually removed the template from xencenter primary storage, vm 's are not
creating at that moment.but the template is still in secondary storage.
how to create vm's when the template is removed from primary storage?

In this criteria template is not copying to primary storage second time.I
understood that cloudstack doesn't know that template has removed from
primary storage.

I have restarted the usage server, but still i did not get the usage
records and even i generated the usage record from cloudmonkey,usage_job
host is showing NULL.The usage server is unable to get the host id in
usage_job.previously i am getting usage records,this issue arises after the
directly reboot of one of my management server and slave database with out
taking any precautions.

Any Suggesstions?
The configuration files also looks good.

Usage Records not Generating.

Hi All,

I am using CloudStack 4.3.1.Previously the usage records are generated,but
when i observed recently the usage records are not generating.The usage
records ends at 2014-12-27

when i manually generate the usage records from cloudmonkey,it shows
"success", but the usage records are not generated in cloud_usage table.

I found an entry in cloud_job table,after generating usage records through
cloudmonkey.

In cloudstack i have given network rate as 1024Mb/s but in xencenter qos
properties it is showing 25Mb/s for that VM.

Andrija Panic/Prashant if i change the interface property(bandwidth)
through xencenter or commandline process in
http://xmodulo.com/how-to-rate-limit-xenserver-vms-network-interfaces.html ,
if i shutdown the VM from cloudstack that VM wil be disabled from
xencenter, when ever i start the VM, the qos value will be same or it will
changed to 25Mb/s.

Rate as 1024 Mb/s, a VM is deployed from that compute offering and in
global settings i didn't changed any Network Throttling Rate(default 200
Mb/s) and i'm unable to test the network bandwidth rate.

console view not coming

hii all,

After upgrading from cloudstack 4.2 to cloudstack 4.3,when i click on
console view it shows that google crome(The server refused the connection)
and firefox(can't establish a connection to the server).
