Has anyone tried? > Yes, except for few (new ones) by default all API (except non-oss ones) should run using latest cloudmonkey, those apis are precached and packaged within cloudmonkey. From 4.2 onwards, users can run cloudmonkey sync to update any API changes from a management server which has the ApiDiscoverService plugin enabled. In 4.2, UI functionality for adding/removing and updating default NIC has been added. You may find it in the NIC tab of an instance. I haven't explicitly tried the APIs on 4.1.1, but the APIs should be present there also.
