french accent - why not utf-16 ?

--- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-01-21 17:45 ---
ok thank you it works.
The solution was 'save as' (Wrong Encoding type ANSI) ; I replaced it by UTF-8
and the xml file now is processed without errors by Forrest.

My experience (I'm totally new Forrest user) :
My attention was not attracted when using Forrest for the first time.
I suggest that the Documentation/Using Forrest
In paragraph 'Adding content'
Now you can start adding content of your own, in src/documentation/content/xdocs
makes a reference to such a remark. The use of this feature is relatively a new
thing for everybody I think.
Hope this help.

This has nothing to do with UTF-8 or UTF-16. é can be used in both character
sets. If #233; works for you but é not, it seems to be more an issue of your
editor. Please discuss such questions first on the mailing lists.

The é is not only a french char. We use it in Spanish using UTF-8 and we don't
have any problem with them.

I think your problem is related to encoding using while saving the XML file
