At least in trunk the cforms .xsl files have already been fixed (no more
resources-uri declaration duplication). I cannot test it with XSTLC though:
current trunk gives me NPEs during pipeline execution.

Just had a look at the bug over there in the Xalan repository. If I get it right
they say that XLTC is right in complaining about the stylesheets and they are
more likely to fix xalan in order to report the error. So maybe we should
double-check the stylesheets agains the spec to avoid the advanced-field-styling
to be completely broken with the next parser updates.

BTW: I found that if you switch from forms-advanced-field-styling.xsl to
forms-field-styling.xsl you don't only loose the fancy calendar input but
elements will also be ignored. That renders it unusable.

I made a simply test with cli and the behaviour is the same, so I create a bug
on xalan repository bugs.

I think it's much better to wait a little bit and come up with a clean
solution. For my project I have just turned off advanced styling - well, users
will have to live without fancy calendar inputs :)

Yes, we know this one. Jeremy has already reported about these problems on the
developers list. Unfortunately the stylesheets are completely ok, it's XSTLC the
blame should be put on.

Of course we could fix it in a way that XSLTC works too (this means removing the
variables/parameters in included/imported stylesheets). But I implemented the
stylesheet dependencies in a easily extensible way and with the aim, that you
can use all stylesheets "as they are" independently in your own extension.

IMO we should not fix our stylesheets in a processor dependent way and force the
users to change the stylesheets if they don't want to use them "as a whole" but
separately (the variable/parameter declaration would be missing then). So we
should just make the XSLTC team aware of this problem.

WDYT?
