[dpdk-dev] Unable to start DPDK+Netshard

2016-08-22 Thread harshavardhan Reddy
Edit the /etc/default/grub file, and add the following to the
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX entry:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="hugepagesz=1G hugepages=
default_hugepagesz=1G"
There only you can mention cpu isolation also.

After modifying run

grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

reboot system

[dpdk-dev] Not able to bring up the VM with dpdk enabled ovs bridge

2016-08-18 Thread harshavardhan Reddy
Hi,

When I try to add the virtio interface to dpdk enabled ovs bridge I am
getting below error message.

"Unable to add port vnet1 to OVS bridge ovsbr0"

I have added created the ovs bridge and added ports to the same as below.
$OVS_DIR/utilities/ovs-vsctl add-port ovsbr0 vhost-user1 -- set Interface
vhost-user1 type=dpdkvhostuser
$OVS_DIR/utilities/ovs-vsctl add-port ovsbr0 vhost-user2 -- set Interface
vhost-user2 type=dpdkvhostuser

In my VM's xml file I have done the below "highlighted "changes as well

sudo virsh dumpxml AP1

  AP1
  6dd3c551-76a2-65d5-32e7-8daaaf433cf4
  4194304
  4194304

hvm

  destroy
  restart
  restart

/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64

However still I am not able to start the VM.
When I try to start the VM, I am getting below error message.

#virsh start AP1
error: Failed to start domain AP1
error: internal error: Unable to add port vnet1 to OVS bridge ovsbr0

I have Ubuntu latest version as my host
"Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS" with qemu 2.5.0 version.

Kindly suggest If I am missing anything here.

2015-02-16 Thread harshavardhan Reddy
Hi All,

Is ntop DPI integration available for Intel DPDK..?

I could see only Propretory qosmos ixEngine integrated with DPDK and
Windriver with its own DPI.

But not found any info about nDPI integration with DPDK.

Thank You,
