How did you restart the Drillbits ? Did you make sure that the Drillbits
are up, after your restart ?
Do a jps and check for process with name Drillbit, to verify that Drillbits
are up after your restart.

Did you try to save the Tableau workbook and then reopening it to reset the 
connection to Drill?
