JIRA Permissions

2017-02-16 Thread David Leangen

Hi!

I want to assign an issue in JIRA to myself.

How can I get proper JIRA permissions to do that? Should I contact the
infrastructure team, or is somebody else able to do that for me?

Username is dleangen.

Thanks!

Right - as I said I was not 100% sure :)

Yeah, JIRA became really a pain with all the ui changes - for whatever
reason you were not in the Felix PMC role (don't ask me what this role
does) while Karl was in it. I added you to this role maybe this
changes things...

I don't think it has any relationship to your @apache.org account...

I had Karl added you explicitly as a committer (since it fails for me

No, there is just your gmail account - but you're not in the felix

No, that is not correct. The administrators group gives you access to
everything you can do. That's not what Ken needs.

For example, Karl can create versions but he is not in felix-administrators.

JIRA is basically junk since one of the recent upgrades. As I stated, I
am an administrator and I can't even add a version, nor can I explicitly
add Ken to as a committer in the project because it complains about
something.

So, Ken definitely should not be an administrator, but how we fix this,

Which "admin" section are you going to? For versions, you need to go into

This won't impact you on this first version, but in the next it will. If
you

Lately, JIRA hasn't been allowing me to create versions at all (it
