Re: [LAZY][Installer] Retire the Apache Flex Installer for Linux
+1 Installing AIR on modern Linux machines is already hard, and only going to get harder. By contrast Java and Ant are available ready packaged in every major distribution. Re: [LAZY][Installer] Retire the Apache Flex Installer for Linux
Hi, Are we 100% certain that Flex Devs want this? I think we should be asking wider than just the dev list as it effects users of the SDK and people have be critical re changes in Linux support in the past. -1 from me until that is done. Justin

Re: [LAZY][Installer] Retire the Apache Flex Installer for Linux
Hi, OK, will send poll on users@. Thanks. IMO for something are important as this it probably shouldn't be a LAZY vote as we are voting to remove/stop release a piece of software/support for a platform. While we are providing an alternative means to instal it may not be suitable for everyone and it hasn't been voted on or released yet. Justin
Apache Flex Installer on Linux
Hi, Got the installer to compile and run to completion on Linux. It need some improvements around installation of the deb package - anyone have experience with this? The only other issue is the application xml file contains 3.4 namespace when Linux needs to 2.6 one, I guess the ant script could change it to 2.6 as it changes a few other things but is there a better way to do this? Thanks, Justin
