Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Flume version 1.6.0 RC1

2015-05-26 Thread Hari Shreedharan
The reason the announce email has not been sent yet is that the Apache Maven
repo seems to have not sync-ed the release artifacts with maven central.
This is being tracked here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-9715

Thanks,
Hari Shreedharan

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Flume version 1.6.0 RC1

2015-05-18 Thread Hari Shreedharan
+1.

* Verified signatures and checksums
* Unit tests are good.

I agree with what Roshan said, but I don’t think we need to roll a new RC for
just mentioning that we switched to Hadoop 2. We can update the webpage and the
docs separately with this info.

Thanks,
Hari Shreedharan

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Flume version 1.6.0 RC1

2015-05-17 Thread Arvind Prabhakar
Thanks Rufus for helping with this release. My vote:

+1

* Verified signatures and checksums
* Top level files look good (Nit: The NOTICE file copyright statement says
2012 instead of 2015)
* The tag looks good (Nit: the DOAP file is not included in the source tar
ball)
* RAT test passes with configured exclusions (checked via mvn verify)

2015-05-12 Thread 李响
Hi could anyone have some time to review FLUME-2575
. It is a small userguide
change but states an important code change by FLUME-2548
.

If I understand it correctly, the change on NettyAvroRpcClient.java(by
FLUME-2548) affects the behavior of avro sink. Please kindly correct me if
I am wrong.

This could relieve some misunderstandings if the doc change can be picked
up as soon as possible.
