We're now running this as a feature branch for the current round of Redis 
work, `feature/GEODE-2444`. I'm going to close this PR for now.

Also, I believe redis is started by providing an option to `start server`.  
How do you plan to extract that from `geode-core`?

@metatype there are no changes in the netty NOTICE.txt between 4.1.7 and 
4.1.8
