[jira] Reopened: (GERONIMO-4194) jsp sample view source links are broken
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-4194?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ] Joe Bohn reopened GERONIMO-4194: The Generated html files are created the svn src directory and therefore litter the src tree. I've made some changes to remove the files in later lifecycle phases but this still isn't optimal. Pursuing other alternatives to include the generated files in the target rather than the source so that we can remove the file deletion. The deletion was checked in with r697627 in branches 2.1 and r695660 in samples/trunk. Subsequent changes in r699485 proved to be not helpful. I think it would be more correct to generate the files under target/generated-sources and then configure the maven-war-plugin to include the generated files in the war. However, there doesn't seem to be a clear-cut way to get the generated files to be easily included in the war. Another alternative that isn't quite as clean is to generate the files directly into the expanded war location prior to the package phase so that they will be included in the war itself. This may be the best that we can do for now. > jsp sample view source links are broken > --- > > Key: GERONIMO-4194 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-4194 > Project: Geronimo > Issue Type: Bug > Security Level: public(Regular issues) >Affects Versions: 2.1, 2.1.1, 2.2 >Reporter: Lin Sun >Assignee: Joe Bohn >Priority: Minor > Fix For: 2.1.2, 2.2 > > > All the view source links are broken in the jsp examples. Any ideas and possible workarounds ? Luciano, I've created TUSCANY-2622 (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TUSCANY-2622 ) and attached a patch to the geronimo-web.xml deployment plan being used by the alert-aggregator-webapp. The patch removes classloading> and uses filters, instead. I ran tests with the updated deployment plan, and things seemed to work pretty well for me. --kevan

I have followed AG 2.1 documentation and I have had many problems with tutorial applications. Tero, I'd say that most of the documentation discussions occur on our dev list. Specific tutorial errors might be more useful if called out on our user list, however. While, IMO, discussion of documentation organization, planning, and Geronimo internals are better off on our dev list. --kevan
Anyone know of VFS impls other than commons-vfs?
Just wondering... implementing alot of virtual file system muck in GShell, using commons-vfs right now, which is working out very well, but its lacking some features, like progress monitoring and such. Anyone know of any alternatives? --jason
