Rodger Zhang commented on GERONIMODEVTOOLS-573:
---

When first click the "Security" page, then Click "Naming" page and add
resource-ref(or other elements) ,the very error happens.
=
Initial Security page->fillBody()->new
SecurityRoleMappingSection()->createClient()->viewer.setInput(getInput())->getRoleMappings(getPlan(),
 false)->JAXBModelUtils.getSecurity(plan)
=
Because JAXBModelUtils.getSecurity() set add security element to plan if the
plan doesn't contain .
I attached a patch to modify the method getSecurity(), but I'm not sure whether
other problems may be imported.Pls help review.

 non-global - visible to applications that have the realm's plugin as an

security reaml, but still have to add it to my web app as dependency,
otherwise there is a deployment failure, pls check

> When you specify welcome files in web.xml Geronimo throws 404 errors if the
> welcome file isn't a valid file resource.
> Values that are URL mappings to a servlet are ignored by the app server even
> through they are valid.
> This means that I can't have a welcome file of "/index.jsf" or "/index.do" or
> "/someservlet".
> The only welcome files that Geronimo seems to not throw a 404 Not Found error
> are actual files found in the web application.

Greg changed some things around here over the weekend. I'm looking
into this. There's some chance this will fix the problems Ivan
mentioned with dispatch versus redirect to the login page.

viola.lu updated GERONIMO-4772:
---

Attachment: GERONIMO-4772.patch

In current build: if set attribute "global" value to true when create security
realm, but after security realm deployment,
click "show plan" in edit mode, this value will change to false, this patch fix
it.
And if i add security realm dependency to deployed war app, "Deployment Failed
Unable to resolve reference "ConfigurationFactory" error" will disappear, refer
to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-4553, based on it,whether
global is true or false, realm plugin must be a parent of a web app to be
visible to that app.
Pls help review, thanks.

Re: [jira] Commented: (GERONIMODEVTOOLS-454) Add support to GEP for various Admin Console wizards like Database pool, Security realm etc

Yes, I agree. Both of them can be added to the deployment plan of current
project, such as geronimo-application.xml, geronimo-web.xml

AFAIK, there is no Harmony equivalent yet. A few JDK tools haven't been

[jira] Updated: (GERONIMO-4773) logger not initialized in shutdown command

2009-08-03 Thread Jack Cai (JIRA)

Jack Cai updated GERONIMO-4773:
---

Attachment: GERONIMO-4773.patch

Turns out the root cause is because we moved to slf4j in 2.2 and removed the
log classes in kernel.

To eliminate the annoying warning message, one solution is to simply add a
log4j.properties config file to shutdown.jar.

Also, no reason now to keep the file
framework/modules/geronimo-kernel/src/main/resources/META-INF/services/org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory,
 as it points to a class that does not exist any more.

Please review the patch. Built and tested.
