There is a rudimentary set of install instructions available at the URL
below that will hopefully describe the necessary prereq(s) and steps
required to install and run the GEP:

>
http://people.apache.org/~mcconne/releases/2.1.1/RC2/Geronimo_Eclipse_Plugin_2.1.1_Instructions-RC2.txt

Additionally, there is an ant build.xml file that can be used to
download the prereq for the GEP. It is documented in the instructions.
Finally, I've created a Staging Site that can used to test the update
manager functions of Eclipse for downloading both the GEP itself and the
Geronimo Server. This is also documented in the instructions. Please let
me know if there are any questions.

The vote is open for 72 hours and will conclude on Wednesday (6/25) at
9:00 PM ET.

[ ] +1 Release Geronimo Eclipse Plugin 2.1.1
[ ] +0 No opinion
[ ] -1 Don't release Geronimo Eclipse Plugin 2.1.1

I'm relieved. Can't wait till GEP++ is released with Ganymede support.

Thanks Jacek, I'll be updating GEP trunk in the next day or so to switch over to
Ganymede

We're planning on supporting both Eclipse 3.3 and 3.4 with GEP 2.1.2, right?

Hi Donald, well I'm assuming we're going to encounter some incompatibility issues
that we'll need to address, especially with the new Ganymede update manager. But
even that is supposed to be backward compatible with existing legacy update sites
so hopefully it won't be too arduous to create/maintain our update site(s) such
that they are compatible with both versions of Eclipse. Many of the functions of
the current 2.1.1 GEP seem to work fairly well with Ganymede, but I've only done
very cursory testing. I hoping though that we won't require too much explicit 3.3
and/or 3.4 code/configurations. Are you aware of specific compatibility issues
that we need to be made aware of ??

No, just don't want to force everyone to move up to Ganymede until they
(and any other Eclipse based plugins/tools they use) are ready
