Maven Plugin Documentation Shows Outdated Configuration -------------------------------------------------------
Key: GERONIMO-4247 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-4247 Project: Geronimo Issue Type: Bug Security Level: public (Regular issues) Components: documentation Affects Versions: 2.1.2 Reporter: Geoffrey Wiseman The [usage examples|http://geronimo.apache.org/maven/server/maven-plugins/geronimo-maven-plugin/usage/server.html] for the Maven plugin documentation contain some awkward examples that make it difficult to get started. The group id of the plugin should now be {{org.apache.geronimo.buildsupport}}. The {{geronimo-jetty-j2ee}} assembly should instead be {{geronimo-jetty6-javaee5}}. It'd be nice if it were a little more clear that the versions of the plugin and assembly should be in synch and that these correspond to the version of Geronimo in use, which would help when getting started with these for the first time, particularly if you find yourself looking at an out-dated plugin or assembly, as is the case when you follow the usage documentation. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - You can reply to this email to add a comment to the issue online.
