Yes, remote can be our fall-back option. I guess we have to plan like the
COVID-19 issue will still be in control by gr8conf but watch carefully how
things pan out. And remote could be a good option.

Cheers, Paul.

I would probably not participate, but it seems to me COVID-19 would make
this the perfect year to give remote a try... G-)

Hi everyone,

In the past, we have held various Groovydev conferences to get together
members of the core team and broader ecosystem to discuss
roadmaps/direction, and to brainstorm and hack. In the last couple of
years, we have just done some informal discussion sessions on the back
of a few conferences, but I'd like to have a more dedicated block of
time if we can arrange it. We are all busy, so I suspect the best way to
make it happen is to piggy-back on to a conference.
Possible candidates are Gr8conf EU in early June or ApacheCon NA in late
September.
If anyone could make either of those dates, let me know.

Cheers, Paul.

If the corona-virus crisis lets me travel... I'll hopefully be there at
GR8Conf, but probably not ApacheCon.

Hi Paul,

ever thought about doing this at least partially remote? I think up to
100 people/locations remote would be possible with what I have in mind -
though I never tested with that many people and surely some will be on
and off all the time.

GR8Conf would be honored to host such conference and would gladly
facilitate it with venue and catering.

Hi Groovy developers,

We often take advantage of the GR8Conf Europe conference to meet
together, brainstorm / discuss the roadmap, technical decisions, etc.,
courtesy of the GR8Conf organizers.

Who plans on coming to GR8Conf and would be willing to participate?
We could hold that the day before the start of the conference, on May
31st, potentially.

It would be nice to see some of our recent committers, like John, Shil,
and older ones as well :-)

+1 for the 31st and for getting some of the new ones if somehow possible
