Hijacking (a bit) the thread, I work on one outstanding Pax Web 8+ issue
related to race condition in special scenario, where all bundles have the
same start level and whiteboard services are registered before
pax-web-extender-whiteboard starts[1]. I'm almost ready.
Also there's https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-7544 where I've
prepared a branch where Karaf switches to Jetty 10 (JDK11+) and Pax Web 9
(which also switched to Jetty 10) - there are few tests failing
(CamelExampleTest because of asm 5.0.4, PaxCdiFeaturesTest because it's no
longer valid and WebSocketExampleTest because Jetty 10 doesn't support this
API anymore).
No need to upgrade Karaf 4.4.x to Jetty 10 + Pax Web 9, but everything is
ready.
