I will copy this release to the Karaf dist directory and promote the
artifacts to the central Maven repository.

the problem about shutdown occur also with
java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode)

As I said before for me its a trivial problem
ASAP check it in more details.

Regarding Equinox, we upgraded because 3.8 fixes a set of issues.

when I tried to compile the src.tar.gz I only had an timing issue on
the itests (but might be because the staging repo wasn't set)
all my tests did work.

We had some issues with spring dm when testing on Talend ESB but the 
problem does not have to be in Karaf.
The issue was that on clean starts the spring contexts sometimes were 
not found/executed. Restarting the spring dm extender corrected the problem.


Would be great to get some feedback of others who tested with spring dm.
