[l10n-dev] XML tags in localized helpcontent2

2009-01-12 Thread Alan Yaniger

Hi list-members,

I'm trying to build helpcontent2 for Hebrew. Sometimes I'm getting
problems with XML tags in the resulting xhp files, since they get
converted to literals (“>” gets converted to “>”, for example). This
causes error messages in the help file screens.

Example, comparing “en-US” with “he”:

Input:

- Distributed helpcontent2/source/swriter/guide/indenting.xhp for en-US:

id="bm_id3155869">formatting; indenting
paragraphs

- Input string in localize.sdf for language “he”:

helpcontent2 source\text\swriter\guide\indenting.xhp 0 help bm_id3155869
0 he formatting; indenting
paragraphsindents;in
textparagraphs;
indentshanging indents in
paragraphsright indents in
paragraphslines of text;
indentschanging;indents
2002-02-02 02:02:02

Output:

- Output xhp for en-US:

id="bm_id3155869">formatting; indenting
paragraphs

- (Partial) Output xhp for he:

id="bm_id3155869">formatting; indenting
paragraphs

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Alan

Re: [l10n-dev] OpenOffice.org - Translation schedule for 3.1 - Pootle has been update with DEV300_m39

Thansk for the update.

Unfortunately it seems, as if at least for one German file the
translations got lost.

Affected file:
connectivity/source/resource.xlf
http://pootle.sunvirtuallab.com/de/xliff_ui/connectivity/source/resource.xlf?translate=1&view=1

currently 103 of 132 segments are untranslated in pootle (segments
appear asnew, not as if the source was changed).
My previous download from Pootle (from 2008-12-04) has 131 of 131
segments translated.

Could you try to see, what happened here? I'd guess I can simply merge
my old translations - but we should report an error for pootle /
translate toolkit.

Dear All,

this is to inform you that the m39 that we were targeting as the
*translation* milestone for the 3.1 is not yet ready.
I know that many of you are waiting for the latest milestone to start
translation. However, I would encourage you to translate or continue
to translate (if you haven't done so already) using the available
content in Pootle (currently m37).

We will let you know when the content will be updated.

I've updated the wiki at:

If any questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
