[l10n-dev] Glitch with Polish autocorrect fixed
Hi, I fixed the glitch that made many Polish users really upset with autocorrect not working in 3.2. Could this be integrated with 3.2.1? http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91071 The fix is trivial and has no further impact. It just fixed an annoying issue. Thanks Yury, I can verify that form entry works with Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 on Linux. I will check with our community member what was the Acrobat Reader version they used. I found this poppler bug that can cause the error in Evince reader https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17913 I do not know if this is a valid comment for #42985 bug Ivo informed us about (http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=42985). Well, AFAICT everything works here; either Cyrillics or West European diacriticals may be entered in the text input field (I didn't do anything with the input, however). Of course, I might be doing something slightly different of what you want to do. For the record, I created a doc and put a text input area and a pushbutton in it. I exported this to a PDF with 'forms in FDF format' and with no checks on 'PDF/A-1a' and 'tagged PDF' whatever those mean. I tested the exported PDF in Acrobat Reader 9.1.0. OS is Linux. -Yury On 03/30/2010 05:13 PM, Goran Rakic wrote: У уто, 30. 03 2010. у 15:34 +0200, Yury Tarasievich пише: You could be a little more specific on how to reproduce. Re: [l10n-dev] Valencian translation for OpenOffice.org
Does this means that localizers decide the language code? I mean, if a team from Venezuela decides to start a new localization in Spanish and they say: "this is Venezuelan, code vz or qvz", should we accept that translation? Even knowing that this is Spanish from Venezuela?. Valencian and Catalan are the same language and there is already a code for Valencian locale: ca_XV (or ca-valencia accepted by the IANA). The Valencian localizers have been using qcv_ES in their linux distribution (Liurex) for a while avoiding whatever related to the name "Catalan" and using the qcv_ES instead. It is very important for us (people who speak Catalan/Valencian) to be identified with the same code. It doesn't make sense to be identified as different languages. The Valencian localizers should change their original code qcv for the ca-valencia or ca_XV and not the other. If not, the name for this localization cannot be "Valencian". Hi Goran, according to Phillip this issue is related: http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=42985 but he said that they don't found a solution for Cyrillic yet :( Cheers, Ivo Goran Rakic wrote: I have received a complaint from one of our community members that it is not possible to type Cyrillic in the PDF form exported from OpenOffice.org. This is a major bug as PDF forms can not be saved or printed correctly. Typing Cyrillic inside OpenOffice.org works as expected so it looks like the bug is in the PDF export code not setting some encoding property. What component should I fill a bug against and is this issue already reported in the past? I reproduced it using both 3.2.0 and 3.0 stable releases, with Serbian Cyrillic localization. Hi, Pau Iranzo wrote: Thanks Eike. See my comment http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=99430#desc11 I agree with you that ca_XV is the best solution. But it seems that they're going to use va_ES anyway (at least for the pootle repository which it's not necessarily a problem). they are going to change that to ca_XV now. They prefered to wait till the final iso code is there! What about the internal locale? I don't want to be annoying about this, but we cannot accept Catalan and Valecian as different languages and the ISO code is essential in this case. Same for its name Catalan (Valencian).
