Aijin, thankyou for all your efforts. :)

I only do all the conversion and uploading for _one_ language: I
shudder to think how complex and tedious it can get for multiple
languages!

Does it mean that we can start translating it? Or do we have to wait?

Re: [l10n-dev] Preparing 3.0 in Pootle (& re:Pootle login fails)

2008-01-27 Thread Aijin Kim
Dear Pootle users,

The Pootle in sunviirtuallab is upgraded to the latest version with the
latest translate toolkit.
And currently, HC2 of below 5 languages are uploaded:
German
French
Italian
Spanish
Hungarian

For other languages, still in progress of conversion/merge work.
All the languages will be shown in Pootle hopefully by Tue. 1/29.

However, I found that one backup file for user login info was deleted
during the upgrade by my mistake. (That's why Erdal failed to login :-[ )
Fortunately, the privilege informations for each language/project still
exist, and I recovered user info based on them.

Now, the accounts of most of users (who configured privileges for their
languages, i.e. were actually working previously) are regenerated. But
the passwords for the accounts and some personal info(Name,E-mail) are
reset . :-(
Please find the attachment for the list of recovered accounts.

I'd like to ask you check whether your account is in the list, and if
so, please try the below steps:
- Login with your previous username and the default password (123456).
- Check if your language/project information and according privileges
are kept.
- Modify Name,E-mail and password in 'Change Options' page.

I'm very sorry to bring you such inconvenience. :-[

If you have any issue with using Pootle, please let me know.

Best Regards,
Aijin

I've just installed translate toolkit 1.1.0 and Pootle 1.1.0rc1.
Translate toolkit looks ok, but I get some errors when I launch
PootleServer.
I'll ask to you in another mail.

Aijin

Hallo Aijin

I just wanted to ask - are you using the new toolkit (1.1) for the file
conversion? Are you happy with the conversion process documented here?
http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/important_changes

This is important for languages that already have translations of
helpcontent2. Otherwise they will have lots of fuzzy strings with the
new files.

Just thought I'll make sure you know!

By the way, a small packaging bug was discovered in Translate Toolkit
1.1.0 which is fixed and the new version will be necessary for Pootle
1.1.0. This doesn't affect oo2po and po2oo, but just thought I'll let
you know. Are you on the translate-devel mailing list? There all things
related to the Translate Toolkit are discussed. I built Pootle 1.1.0rc1,
and although I haven't announced it yet, a few people have started to
test it. Hopefully it is ready quite soon.

What is your timeline for deploying the new version of Pootle on
sunvirtuallabs? It has a slightly new look, which I think people will
like.

Keep well
Friedel

2008-01-25 Thread Aijin Kim
Hi all,

I'm starting to prepare the contents for 3.0 in Pootle. The languages
which are scheduled as end of Jan. will be uploaded first.
Works during the preparation period are possibly missed, so please don't
update the contents in Pootle during the period.

Once the upload is finished, I'll get back to you soon.

Thanks,
Aijin
