Re: [l10n-dev] Re: What is the reason for additional DEV300 builds?

2010-02-22 Thread Marcus Lange

Hi,

we will add Russian language packs. Then we can cover the codeset with
Cyrillic charcaters as it is also used in several other languages.

This will start with the next possible milestone.

Best regards

Marcus

There are regular builds by Pavel, and he builds from latest translations,
provided by localization teams as links to gzipped gsi files (for DEV300 and
OOO320).

Unfortunately he does not build Windows anymore, but he does Linux and OSX
for (almost) every build, so these are really great for testing. There are
also Maho's builds, but he uses translations integrated into tree, so that
is really not useful for testing translations.

I only wish Pavel could start making Windows language packs again, maybe
that can be achieved even without MS compilers, since there was some
development lately on minigw side ;)

 Hi,

yes, IMHO French is build, too, because it's a language with long strings.
When these strings fit into menues and dialogs, then all other languages
 should also fit.

latin.) There are still no Greek and Cyrillic. I am asking for Cyrillic,
Russian, and am going to test those builds. But also many would like to have
DEV builds installed permanently, but having only English is not convenient,
because we can't test translations and are getting used to

Please note that normally there is no translation that could be tested.
This should be done after integrating the localization CWSs and with builds
 from the release codelines.

All you could test are the features that were integrated in every
 milestone.

English terms. If mirrors are out of disk space, I understand, excuse me.

I'll check if it is possible to add ru langpacks.
