OOo now comes with two options for Hebrew spell checking. The "stock"
OpenOffice comes with a myspell format Hebrew dictionary that is extracted
from Hspell, a GPL Hebrew spell checker. The second option is to add Hspell
itself to your OOo in order to get the full Hspell engine functionality
and not just a word list. You can find older distributions of OOo with
Hspell built-in for you on http://www.openoffice.org.il, and you can also
find a kit on that same URL for adding Hspell yourself (like to an English
interface OOo).

Neither of the above options will help you with transliteration in either
direction, that is, transliterating a Hebrew word, or checking the spelling
of a transliterated Hebrew word.
The Hspell engine and the OOo Hebrew dictionary that is extracted from
Hspell are specifically Hebrew and not Aramaic. So Hspell wont be of much
help if you are writing Aramaic. Biblical and rabbinic Aramaic is now a
read-only language, so there's little demand for a spell-checking
dictionary. rabbinic Aramaic dictionaries are usually used for translation
and concordance (the common Jastrow Aramaic dictionary for English readers
for example) not spell-checking. Modern spoken Aramaic is no longer used
by any Jewish community for reading, writing or speech, and it has forked
so far from Rabbinic and Biblical Aramaic that you wont find tools for it
in association with Hebrew language tools as you might with rabbinic
Aramaic (the common Even Shoshan dictionary for example).
