[marketing] Re: ALA-2010 Kick Off meeting
I would like to get those interested in participating in one place for an hour if possible. For that I set up - an IRC channel: irc://freenode/ooousa - and a meeting scheduler at Doodle: http://doodle.com/8axp46z5svkc6m32 Howdy all, Well, seeing that only a few folks marked any type of preferred time (I know this was short notice): - will just leave the irc channel open for the next few days. - be sure to be on the irc channel between 7 and 10 PM EST tonight but otherwise on and off during the day. - put the log (given any activity) on the wiki each day. Otherwise, will be setting up a project calendar and will make access available to all as soon as it is in place. Til later, Drew - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@marketing.openoffice.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@marketing.openoffice.org

No, it is not just a gateway. They are aggregating all received funds, pending a release and taking 3% commission to withdraw using PayPal. The implication is that TeamOOo will not receive many small donations from various entities, but a single donation when funds are transfered from Twonate. The treasurer should confirm if that is OK for their tax reports. thanks for this additional information. Alexandro please communicate such things first before you do anything, just to avoid problems, confusion etc. Please don't get me wrong all this ideas are welcome. But we should discuss it first and we should always ensure/clarify that we are safe related legal or tax issues. Well having an account doesn't mean either or, in all cases we already have control of the ID "openofficeorg" if we decide this is not something we want to get into we can just drop. However if we sit and wait, might be some name hijack or something that will end up having to go for a more odd title. After all this is still a public list and anyone can read it. mmh, maybe you are right but i would assume that if this service is serious they would take care of a misuse of the name openoffice or any similar name. Likely we should be finished at that time as it's midnight in China then. Of course it fits much better than the previous timing. :-) Would be great to have you on the line, but I understand the problem of time zones...
