I would like to add that with a highly vibrant like ours we can manage the
SEO ( back links, Social Bookmarking, etc) ourselves later...Imagine if
even 20% of us start providing some kind of back links on blogs, websites
then Google , cuil,,bing everyone will come running to our links

I support the view we should have our own copy...optimizing it later for
search engines we can do ourselves...

My 2 cents.. :)

PR Web is probably useful to continue if it is cost effective. That is
to say, if it helps get our press releases out to the handful of news
services still operating these days.

Keeping our own copy, in addition to any useful service we may take the
advantage of, may just be the cost of doing business. That way we still
have a copy later when the marketing service is gone, also that way we
have something to draw Google and Cuil to our site.

I checked, but the Standard One Year Subscription costs $300.00. Did we
pay this from our vouchers, or do I have to ping someone for the free
service?

Thanks,

We used to keep our own newsroom (see the cvs history) but when PRWeb
launched their newsroom service it was much easier to use theirs (one less
site to maintain). They let us use the service free of charge.

If we use their service, it is still a good idea to have our own archive.

thanks a lot for the tip. I've just seen that the PRWeb Newsroom has to
be renewed, which costs.

John: Does it make sense to renew the newsroom with one of our vouchers?
Or do you think setting up our own newsroom on our site makes more sense?
