*chuckle*....ah, it isn't like no has heard of the .doc format.

Look at it this way perhaps - I have OO.o and want to send a file in ODF format to a client...they have OO.o but save their stuff in .DOC format...now what happens when they get my ODF file?

Answer - it opens right up.
