thanks for this. Here are my suggestions:
- the archetype version is incorrect (should be alpha-3 or alpha-4 I think)
- remove the version from the 2 plugins that are in development (ie, 
unreleased)


since some have multiple categories, how about:
- retaining the current alphabetical list, but split it in 3 (maven 
plugins, external plugins, maven development plugins)
- have a categorised table at the top which just has the plugin 
name/link under the categories

Seems like if you attach a html to the issue it will be rendered like a 
html page which I think is sufficient for you.

The resources plugin simply copies resources (with the optional filtering)
to the output directory. it does not handle jar'ing ^_^
