API Change: New operation states

2018-04-11 Thread Gastón Kleiman
Hello everyone,

Greg and I are working on enabling offer operation feedback for frameworks
[1]. I am adding a new `ReconcileOperations` scheduler API call, which will
allow frameworks to get the latest operation status sent to the framework,
and to find out if the agent (and external resource provider in the future)
performing an operation is unreachable, marked gone, etc.

I recently proposed the introduction of new operation states in a review
request [2]. They are similar to the task states that were added when
adding support for partition-aware frameworks.

If you are interested in using operation feedback in the future, please
take a look and let me know what you think.

Hi everyone,

We haven't been able to find any content for the Dev Sync tomorrow, so I'm
going to go ahead and cancel it. Please let me know if you have questions

Doc-a-thon May 24th?

2018-04-11 Thread Judith Malnick
Hi All,

I'd like the next Mesos Doc-a-thon to happen on May 24th from 3-8pm Pacific
time. I picked the date because it's best for Ben H.

Does anyone have major reasons why this wouldn't work? If not I'll put it
on the calendar and start setting it up.

Best,
Judith

Re: [mesos-mail] Re: Update the *Minimum Linux Kernel version* supported on Mesos

2018-04-11 Thread Gilbert Song
Hi all, FYI we landed this patch to
avoid nested freezer cgroup support check for old kernel versions. Please
reply to this thread if you had concerns about this update.
