Change to "Perform Apache releases". This section is meant to be forward
looking, so I wouldn't include info on things that already happened.

2. Expand and build strong community, keep active dev list discussions,

If you've done your first release, say that first here. It's a huge
milestone for an incubator!

This is confusing. Did you do a release or are you voting on an RC? If
still voting, change this to "No releases yet, but we're voting on an RC
now" Otherwise say " 2016-05-26 Released Mnemonic-0.1.2-incubating"

Re: June Report Draft

2016-05-31 Thread James Taylor
Content looks good - you're doing a great job so far. Couple of minor nits:

- For date of last release, this is your first release, right? That's a big
deal, so I'd call that out.
- For your metrics section, for TLP, the board typically is interested in
relative growth compared to the last three months rather than absolute
numbers. For example, the Reporter tool collects dev subscribers and number
up/down in last 3 months, JIRAs created vs closed/resolved in last 3
months. Same for committer/PMC growth (which isn't expected yet). Perhaps
you could track new contributors if that's easy/feasible.
- For the "Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need
to be aware of?" question, I'd give the stock answer of "There are no
issues requiring board attention at this time". Your answer is the same,
but using the stock answer makes it easier to ignore/skip.

Thanks,
James

Excellent - thanks, Patrick. I added a link to JIRA on the status page,
updated the dates on some completed items, and fixed a few formatting
issues: http://incubator.apache.org/projects/mnemonic.html

Also, there may be an opportunity for a GSoC internship for
Mnemonic+Phoenix on a this self contained Phoenix issue:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-2405. Comments on the JIRA
are welcome.

Thanks,
James
