Re: Podling Report - Draft

2017-10-07 Thread John D. Ament
Actually I'm pretty sure you did it right, I see that Jim volunteered and you
added him in July [1].

I'll take care of the clean up.

I suspect that was me thinking the podling status page was still the

You've been added. We could definitely use your help! Please see our

Re: Cutting a v0.12 release for Volta V100 support in MXNet

2017-10-07 Thread Naveen Swamy
+1. I like the idea MXNet being available to support Volta. Do we have the
code already merged by Nvidia to support this?

@mentors, any blockers that would stop from cutting an RC on 10/16?

Request for invitation to MXNet Slack channel

2017-10-07 Thread Stephen Bull
Hi,

I'm a senior software engineer just now beginning to work on my own AI/ML
project. I had been researching various ML frameworks for my needs and
MXNet seemed to be a good fit for me (technically, for its flexibility, and
also from an open source standpoint), I'm hoping I can contribute to the
project in the future when I start developing proper with MXNet.

I recently subscribed to the MXNet Apache mailing list and I've begun going
through the tutorials (currently for Python). While going through tutorial
docs and code I have noticed a few typos here and there, both within the
online docs and also with debug/error messages coming out of the MXNet
library. I'd like to start contributing to the codebase in the future, and
as I come across small issues like these I feel like maybe this would be a
good place to start.

So with that said, I'm emailing to request an invitation to the MXNet Slack
channel! :)

Thanks,
Stephen

AFAIK, I was never a Mentor. I volunteered, but was never
added, which was confirmed by checking via Whimsy.

John, thanks for the suggestion. We will use Confluence for the next
 report.

 Perhaps one of:

 * migrate mxnet.io DNS
 * bring website up to Apache standard
 * identify if any more ICLAs or SGAs need signing
