Just so you know, JSF 1.2 is now available in the public maven 1 repo at

maven.repo.remote=https://maven-repository.dev.java.net/nonav/repository/,http://www.ibiblio.org/maven/

Of course, this won't work for several reasons:

1. It's a Maven 1 Repo.

2. It's JSF 1.2.

Wendy is exactly right.Of course, it would be much more convenient if the JSF 1.2 jars were on ibiblio.org to avoid the extra configuration to pick up the
java.net repository.I believe there is work already underway to establish an automatic sync for some of the java.net artifacts to ibiblio.org.

"much", I don't know about that. How hard is one line?

There are legal issues that must be resolved to make this happen.
Believe me, I had to work with lawyers just to enable getting the jars
out on java.net.

one / zero = infinity ;-)I agree though, at least there is only one line in the pom.xml shared by all users as opposed to one line of extra configuration *per user* as originally posted.

Re: JSF 1.2 in a Maven 1 Repo

2006-02-14 Thread Adam Winer
I think it was John Fallows that told me there's a way to set up
Maven2 to add in a Maven 1 repository. Dunno the details,
and obviously it'd be better to have it as a full maven 2
artifact including the pom.

You can use it with m2 by configuring it as a legacy repository:

I've heard it's possible to access an m1 repo from m2.

We'll try to update the plugin to m2 and take it from there.
