Re: [VOTE] Release MyFaces 1.1

2005-09-17 Thread jeremy . grelle

(My apologies, I replied to the wrong
thread on the first attempt.)

I may just be missing something, but
it appears to me that the myfaces-all.jar in the release build is missing
the faces-config.xml for the tomahawk components. I tried it with
my own internal applications as well as the example apps, and they both
are unable to locate any of the tomahawk componenets when using myfaces-all
instead of the three seperate jars.

Can someone else verify this?

for the JSF 1.1_01 spec state out of the current trunk and so the code

It's only to know which known bugs were solved in the 1.1_01 branch and
which ones don't metter the 1.1_01 branch...

Here is the info from the SVN commit:

Date: Tue Sep 13 14:35:36 2005
New Revision: 280674

You can also checkout the tagged release
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/release/ (note its an
svn:external so you need to actually check it out to see what's in
there.)

Perhaps I missed it, but where is the release candidate build that we're
voting on? We can't vote until we can download and test it!

Or is this a vote on the release *plan* rather than the release?

The release candidate can be found at

http://cvs.apache.org/builds/myfaces/release/

In order to preserve ASF bandwith please limit downloads to people who
plan on testing in the next 48 hours. The release will be available
on Monday so please wait to download then if you are not helping with
the testing.

Just gave the compile a testrun,
there was a checkin bug, that one has been now resolved
by bruno,

and besides the usual
eclipse... not having xerces using xalan instead which causes
an error problem,
build from eclipse works...

cannot vote yet ;-)

FWIW I don't plan to change my vote based on this bug. Too much time
goes into TCK testing. If we find anything major then I will
reconsider my vote.
