Re: Re: [DISCUSS] Process of "unincubating" Apache NetBeans

2019-04-23 Thread John McDonnell
Hi Eric,

As Geertjan says, we should leave that to INFRA, they're probably well
versed in whats needed to be done...

Its also worth noting that the GitHub repo is (I believe) a public mirror
of https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf?p=incubator-netbeans.git

Again something that the INFRA team should be well suited to handle.

John

Re: [DISCUSS] netbeans.org to netbeans.apache.org

2019-04-23 Thread Neil C Smith
Following up with a question here because I'm not sure for definite if
it's related. I'm updating PraxisLIVE to use NB11 and am using the
bootstrap.url and autoupdate.catalog.url properties to download the
build harness (with addition to automate adding nbjavac). Prior to
the redirects, I'm fairly sure this was working with
https://netbeans.apache.org/nb/updates/11.0/updates.xml.gz as listed
in the Plugin manager. Now it will only work with http and somewhat
temperamentally.

Any thoughts?

Best wishes,

Neil

Netbeans 11 - 1 of 9 PHP projects gets corrupted everytime

2019-04-23 Thread Thorsten Munsch
Hey Netbeans Devs,

i'm using Netbeans 11 flawlessy for current eight of nine PHP projects which
are open at the same time.

Starting with Netbeans 10? the last project I created from given source files,
a directory where the Git repo is cloned into, will get corrupted every day
from time to time.

Sometimes it helps to close Netbeans, reopen it and the project is not corrupt.

In other cases when the uncorrupted project was showing the source files, they
disappear in the project tree. Additionally the name of the project changes to
a part of its name.

Since then Netbeans shows this project as corrupted, I can't edit it's
properties and if I do I only get the resolve project conflicts window with
nothing to solve..

All I see in the IDE-Log or any logs on my machine is:

(when it was working before)

»INFO [org.netbeans.modules.php.project.copysupport.CopySupport]: Copy support
disabled for project without sources (vendor_packagename)«

(after closing Netbeans and reopening it)

»INFO [org.netbeans.modules.parsing.impl.indexing.RepositoryUpdater]: Indexing
of: /home/thorsten/Repositories/vendor_packagename took: 86 ms (New or modified
files: 4, Deleted files: 0) [Adding listeners took: 0 ms]«

If that happens I really have to delete the whole local project and have to
create a new one from sources until it gets corrupt in a few minutes or some
days later.

I haven't noticed anything more to provide debug information to you, so how I
can find out the reason why this is happening all the time?

P.S.: Netbeans states there are 4 new or modified files in the project, but git
status says no nothing happend here. The other eight projects have 0
new/modified and deleted files..

Regards

Thorsten

Hi Paul,
About "gutscheine.org" , this server is on the mirror list of apache so it
should be safe.

Hi Paul,

I'm not sure about anything fishy going on, but you should not need to download
Java EE base plugin for NetBeans 11. I believe the base is included with
NetBeans 11.

Did you just recently download a fresh copy of Apache NetBeans 11 from the link
below?

https://netbeans.apache.org/download/nb110/nb110.html

Thanks

Question regarding plugin hosting

2019-04-23 Thread Paul Schaub
Hi!

I hope this is the right mailing list for my issue.

I just tried to install the Java EE Base plugin for Netbeans 11
(Archlinux) from within netbeans plugin manager. However, it failed due
to a network connection error. I tried to manually download the missing
plugin files (there were more than one failing) among others this one:

https://netbeans.apache.org/nb/updates/11.0/enterprise/org-netbeans-modules-el-lexer.nbm

I noticed, that the file is being downloaded from "gutscheine.org",
which sounds a little bit suspicious. On top of that, netbeans prompts
me whether I want to install the plugin, as it appears to be unsigned.

Is there something fishy going on?

Paul

RE: [VOTE] Apache NetBeans (incubating) maven artefacts for version 9, 10 and 11

2019-04-23 Thread Eric Barboni
Hi,
What should I do ? Theoretically, the vote is passing (at least +1 binding
*3).
The Apache NetBeans 9 10 11 are released already.

This is only to release additional conveniences binaries that needed external
tools to be set.
The binaries jar contains incubator disclaimer by construction of Apache
NetBeans itself.

I cannot swear the respective version are disqualifier free. I only know that
all the people here did a lot to get it the most perfect possible on each
release. I cannot alter sources to have special maven artefacts uncorrelated
to source process because I would create inconsistency between maven artefacts
their respective release.

Best Regards
Eric
