Re: [DISCUSS] Preparing for NiFi 2.0.0-M2

2024-01-16 Thread David Handermann
Thanks for the replies! I agree that we should also release a 1.25.0
version, and thanks Pierre for volunteering to handle that process.

There are a couple more pull requests for dependency upgrades and
Python-based adjustments to get in, and then we should be ready to go
for an M2 release candidate.

Lucas, regarding the pull request for NIFI-12595, it looks useful in
general, but it looks like it needs some closer evaluation. As a new
feature, it is important to consider both the naming and
implementation approach. Thanks for taking the time to provide a
thorough background in the Jira issue.

Regards,
David Handermann

Re: [DISCUSS] Preparing for NiFi 2.0.0-M2

2024-01-16 Thread Lucas Ottersbach
Hey team,

looking forward to the upcoming releases.

Is there a chance we can land PR#8244 [1] / NIFI-12595 [2] or a variant
thereof in the next 1.x release?
I appreciate any feedback on the proposed extensions.

[2] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-12595

Thanks,

Lucas
