Showing the markup of products represents a total different viewpoint. While it
is a good function to determine potential sales price of a product (often only
applied in retail), it loses value when determining/evaluating the earning
potential of the whole of a quote.

When reviewing the profit page of a quote the profit percentage is calculated
wrong. In stead of dividing the profit by the quote amount giving the margin,
the quote amount is divided by the average cost (when provided). Thus giving
the quote (amount) to cost ratio.

Jira Agile Dashboard and Sprint Details

2015-02-23 Thread Sharan-F
Hi All

Over the weekend I setup a sprint in Jira to coincide with the Hot Wax Bug
Crush event and assigned all our current backlog to that sprint. (I didnt
realise but this caused Jira to send out a message for every assignment – so
sorry for flooding people's email!)

I was interested in how Jira could help us in future manage and track issues
using the Agile Dashboard.

Here is a quick summary:

There is an OFBiz Agile Test Dashboard setup called OFBiz Test (we can
easily rename it) found here

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=planning
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=planning

This default view is in planning mode. There is also a work mode and a
report mode (see buttons in top right of screen)

Planning mode lists all the issues in our backlog and all issues assigned
to a sprint. I assigned all our current backlog to the sprint created at
the weekend. They will be automatically assigned to any future sprints
created until they are complete.

In Work Mode we can view the list of issues to do, those in progress and
those completed.

In Report Mode we can view the we look at various reports including the
Issue Burndown Chart or Sprint Report. I've inlcuded a link to the Sprint
Report below (currently showing that 22 issues were closed during the
sprint).

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=reportingchart=sprintRetrospectivesprint=91
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=reportingchart=sprintRetrospectivesprint=91

I think this could be a good tool to help us track the work done during the
Community Day next month so I will setup a sprint for that event. Estimates
can be added to issues if we want to track that information but I haven't
been able to setup an Epic (but I'm not too sure if we want this anyway).

If there is interest then we can also use it on an on-going basis (e.g setup
a sprint every 2 weeks so that we can track the issues in progress and being
resolved).

What do people think? Feedback welcome.

Thanks
Sharan

Yes, it led to me having to review several hundreds of messages.

Having all open issues added to one sprint undermines the value of the
function.

This issue is intended to provide a way to track supplier promos and apply
them to purchase orders. Agreements are currently used for purchase order
promos but their use is less clear than the sales promos functionality which
I propose extending to purchase orders as well. I'm not sure if the
agreement functionality should still remain in use. The goal is to allow for
example the tracking of supplier rewards card perks and having them
automatically applied during order entry just as may happen for sales orders.

 Attachments: portal.diff

Now the portal functions is in the trunk, i had a more closer look how to use
 this in the mypage component.
The result is that I would like to propose a new component call My Portal
which will replace the My Page component. This will give me the opportunity
to slowly (in 3-4 weeks) make the conversion.
Attached is a diff file when applied will create the first version of the new
component showing the principle, how the portal functions could be used.
When installed it will create a new tab called my Portal initially only
 with the default page.
When you click on preferences you see a list of portal pages, and a form to
 add new ones.
If a new one is added, also a new button will show for that page.
When you click on the new page Id, the configuration screen appears and a
portlet can be added and when there are more they can be shifted around.
When no objections then i will commit this version and will extend it and
finally will remove the mypage component.

Hey Pierre,

For testing, I set the product store after supplier selection at purchase order

of any other functionality that would deliver promo functionality for purchase
orders like that used for the stores. If stores can be set at purchase order
entry then the functionality can be delivered. Then its just a matter of how
to implement product store selection at purchase order entry.

promos but their use is less clear than the sales promos functionality which
I propose extending to purchase orders as well. I'm not sure if the
agreement functionality should still remain in use. The goal is to allow for
example the tracking of supplier rewards card perks and having them
automatically applied during order entry just as may happen for sales orders.

When menu-items have the following condition:

Reporter: Hans Bakker

We found customers who are interested in this kind of extension to OFBiz.
This issue is created to see if any other users are interested joining the
 creation of the extension below.
Currently the project manager administers the project structure, the project
progress in estimated and actual dates/hours, registration of actual hours
and enables the creation of invoices from that.
What is missing are the following functions:
 1. be able to add goods/products required for that task and make the link to
inventory, also keeping track what is used todate (taken out of inventory or
when not present what need to be purchased before a certain date)
 2. be able to book/rent locations/tools/machinery and make the link to the
fixed asset calendars to check for availability
 3. to calculate the costs at task/phase/project level in estimated and actual
 values.
 4. Having reports to compare similar projects concerning progress and costs
 5. to be able to enter 'late' fees which will be taken into the costs
 calculation.
Please add comments if you have any suggestions or would like to join.

Hi All

Over the weekend I setup a sprint in Jira to coincide with the Hot Wax Bug
Crush event and assigned all our current backlog to that sprint. (I didnt
realise but this caused Jira to send out a message for every assignment –
so
sorry for flooding people's email!)

I was interested in how Jira could help us in future manage and track
issues
using the Agile Dashboard.

Here is a quick summary:

There is an OFBiz Agile Test Dashboard setup called OFBiz Test (we can
easily rename it) found here

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=planning

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=planning
This default view is in planning mode. There is also a work mode and a
report mode (see buttons in top right of screen)

Planning mode lists all the issues in our backlog and all issues assigned
to a sprint. I assigned all our current backlog to the sprint created at
the weekend. They will be automatically assigned to any future sprints
created until they are complete.

In Work Mode we can view the list of issues to do, those in progress and
those completed.

In Report Mode we can view the we look at various reports including the
Issue Burndown Chart or Sprint Report. I've inlcuded a link to the Sprint
Report below (currently showing that 22 issues were closed during the
sprint).

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=reportingchart=sprintRetrospectivesprint=91

https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=64view=reportingchart=sprintRetrospectivesprint=91
I think this could be a good tool to help us track the work done during the
Community Day next month so I will setup a sprint for that event. Estimates
can be added to issues if we want to track that information but I haven't
been able to setup an Epic (but I'm not too sure if we want this anyway).

If there is interest then we can also use it on an on-going basis (e.g
setup
a sprint every 2 weeks so that we can track the issues in progress and
being
resolved).

What do people think? Feedback welcome.

Thanks
Sharan

I vaguely remember encountering this issue earlier. Setting

OrderAdjustment.amount has a max precision of 3, rounding upon order creation
occurs causing the inconsistency. I remember community members advising
against increasing OrderAdjustment.amount precision higher than 3.

[jira] [Commented] (OFBIZ-6100) Inconsistent tax calculation between checkout finalize and order created screen

Christian Carlow commented on OFBIZ-6100:

I vaguely remember encountering this issue earlier. Setting
salestax.calc.decimals = 4 allows for correct cart calculation but because
OrderAdjustment.amount has a max precision of 3 so rounding upon order creation
for causes the inconsistency. I remember community members advising against
increasing OrderAdjustment.amount precision higher than 3.

 I changed arithmetic.properties salestax.calc.decimals = 4 instead of 3
because my purchase order tax was 1 cent less than the receipt. After
accounting for 4 decimals, the tax was correctly calculated at the checkout
finalize page, but once the order was created, the tax was 1 cent less than
 its previously calculated value.

When installing data into a tenant database, ofbiz hangs.
 Using the following command line.
 $ ant load-tenant-data-readers -Ddata-readers=seed -DtenantId=DEMO1
The problem is that ofbiz uses DelegatorFactory.getDelegator() to find/create
the tenant delegator, asynchronously, for the target tenant database using a
single daemon thread. As part of the tenant delegator creation, it needs to
find/create a base delegator. When the base delegator is intially absent,
ofbiz will block trying to create one by using the same daemon thread--which
is already being used. Hence, ofbiz is deadlocked.
The solution is to make sure that a base delegator is always created first
before a find/create tenant delegator is attempted.

Need to fix the DataResouce caching issue while render the DataResouce on
 multi tenant environment.
It might be possible that same data resource id exists for multiple tenant,
and as DataResouce caching does not used tenant specific caching so it may
 lead to incorrect data rendering.
Here is the current code to get the DataResource Teamplate from cache
 {code}
 Template cachedTemplate = FreeMarkerWorker.getTemplate(DataResource: +
 dataResourceId);
 {code}
Need to add the delegator name as prefix to fix the issue.

 https://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org:8443/catalog/control/EditProductFacilities?productId=WG-9943-B3
and just setup Inventory during product setup then setLastInventoryCount
 service would not be helpful.
So in my opinion, here ProductFacility should be first created in case of its
no record when updating lastInventoryCount in ProductFacility.
I am attaching patch for the same here.

 {code}
 Template cachedTemplate = FreeMarkerWorker.getTemplate(DataResource: +
 dataResourceId);
 {code}
Need to add the delegator name as prefix to fix the issue.

Currently, ProductFacility record is updated by setLastInventoryCount service
when create-store-remove operation performed on InventoryItemDetail entity
 (by EECA).
This service is called to update lastInventoryCount field in ProductFacility
and this field helps us for checking product in-stock/out-of-stock.
This service helps only when ProductFacility will already present. Suppose,
if catalog manager forgot to setup facility or deleted it at

When reviewing the profit page of a quote the profit percentage is calculated
wrong. In stead of dividing the profit by the quote amount giving the margin,
the quote amount is divided by the average cost (when provided). Thus giving
the quote (amount) to cost ratio.

After a discussion with Ean, was suggested (draft here):
You need a service that lets you subscribe a widget to an entity and
then propagate change events to the widget as the entity is modified.
A generic mechanism like that could eventually expand to be a general
purpose data bound widgets system that mostly looks like the existing
 system but magically reflects updates.
 Could be used with/for
 * The entity cache and webforms to automatically update views when data
 changes.
 * Replaces the current system notes
 * Create a dashboard type pages (to be discussed futher)
