If there are no objections I would like to upgrade the trunk with the latest official 2.3.20 release; then after some time, if we will not face any issues related to the overloaded methods in templates I will backport the jar to the 13.07 branch: in this way we will distribute the official Freemarker jars, and it will be easy to stay updated with the new bug fix releases from the Freemarker community.
