Since then it has evolved and has had lots of bugfixes/stabilizations committed to Hadoop. Though the feature is still not considered stable officially, lots of production clusters using Hadoop 3.1.0+ benefit from it. YARN services has great value to the end-users and has the following features: - performs configuration resolutions and mounts, - lifecycle management such as stop/start/delete the service, - flexing service components up/down, - rolling upgrades services on YARN - monitoring services’ healthiness and readiness and more. [~zsombor], unfortunately the spotbugs check is buggy and there are a lot of
old bugs reported as new ones. (we have an open Jira for replacing the spotbugs
diff jar OOZIE-3445).
The "newly" reported bug in this case is an old one in the {{ShellMain.java}}
file [line 92].
