Re: Re : [Accessibility] Call for volunteer for AOO IAccessible2 Testing

2013-11-18 Thread Liu Ping
Hi,

Welcome to AOO IAccessible2 Testing
Now we have three geneal AVT test cases in testlink and need more
volunteers to write and test detail AVT test cases,
To support AVT , we may make use of existing FVT General Testing List (FVT
scenario) to support AVT

Such as :
1.Launch AOO and new a presentation.(FVT scenario) ,
2.Select Help -> About Openoffice on main menu by keyboard..(FVT scenario)
,
3.Launch Windows Screen Reader Tools and check AVT checkpoint (AVT testing)

Please feel free to let me know if any question

Shearing in 3D

2013-11-18 Thread Regina Henschel

Hi all,

the B3DHomMatrix has a method decompose(...) which results tuples
rScale, rTranslate, rRotate and rShear.

I do not understand the meaning of rShear. How are the rShear values
used to re-compose the original matrix? When I decompose a matrix with
only scale and rotation following the algorithm, then re-compose works.
But I have no idea how it is intended to work with shearing.

There seem to be no code currently, which uses shearing; at least I do
not find anything. But because a transformation matrix can include
shearing, I want to know, how it works, and hope someone can give me a tip.

Kind regards
Regina

FOSDEM 2014: Draft call for talks, funding proposal

2013-11-18 Thread Andrea Pescetti

Two small steps towards FOSDEM 2014 (Brussels, 1-2 February 2014):

1) I drafted a very generic Call for Talks. You can find it at
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Conferences/FOSDEM/2014
When/if approved, this will be the "official" call, shared between
OpenOffice and LibreOffice. It is an initial draft, not reviewed by the
LibreOffice project (or by Italo who is organizing the devroom on behalf
of LibreOffice) yet. I hope we can, through personal channels, get to a
final version in the next days and send it out. In the meantime, please
have a look and see if the text is OK. Remember that this text must be
neutral and basic: we have blogs and mailing lists for richer communication.

2) We approved a budget for speaker reimbursements last year, but in the
end we didn't use it since no speakers asked for reimbursement. Our
"events budget" is thus mostly untouched so far. I think Oliver was
handling the issue and had decided for a flat fee. So I propose, subject
to lazy consensus and hopefully to finding someone who can take
responsibility for this, to have a flat reimbursement of 200 Euros for
accepted speakers who ask for it. It won't cover all expenses, but it
may be a significant help for some speakers. (I can't find how much
Oliver proposed last year; feel free to discuss a different amount).

There's more to FOSDEM (namely, stand/booth and merchandising), but
these issues have a different timeline so I would focus on the two items
above for the time being.

Regards,
  Andrea.

there have been an overload problem with the proxy, and other projects have
experienced 502 the last couple of weeks. It seems temporary and we are
trying to pinpoint the problem.

It has nothing to do with karma, simply try again.

When the error comes as you press save, then the page gets saved. This
error has been reported earlier on the list and hopefully one of the
application admins will take care of it.

Hi,

I am working on a solution for issue 33737 [1] and I am making good

I have started the documentation of the solution in our wiki - please
have a look at https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Writer/Input_Fields. It
should be almost complete - may be I have forgotten the one or the other
which will follow when I get notice of its missing.
If you are interested in this area, please have a look and provide

Thanks in advance.

[1] https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=33737

I have finished the implementation.
Unfortunately, my test on MacOS X reveals some problems:
- special characters inserted for improved cursor traveling are more or
less visible
- traveling from one Input Field to the other skips one Input Fields.
This happens on forward and backward traveling.

Thus, I back on the coding. I assume to solve the problems at least
until the end of the week.

I have solved the problem on MacOS X.
I will check the final code changes on the major platforms (Windows,
Linux and MacOS X). I expect that the code changes will be committed
into trunk at the beginning of next week.

I have committed my solution into trunk.

Please provide feedback in order to be able to improve the solution for
our next release. Thanks in advance.

2013-11-18 Thread mengualjeanphi

Hi All,

Hi

IA2 branch sucessfully integrated with trunk as rev 1542312 (Build
download: http://ci.apache.org/projects/openoffice/)

First of all, thanks very much. I can say that it works for me. I do not have
the issues I mentioned here to access, at least minimum, to OOo. great!

We need more volunteers to support AOO IA2 testing work, focus FTV scenario
IAccessible2 testing

FTV? FVT? What is it? Sorry I am not an expert in the processes of such big
projects.

*Test execution:*

1. Testing of FVT scenario IAccessible2 testing on Windows,

I create 3 testcase (*AOOTest-1758/1766/1768*) in testlink (http://
aootesting.adfinis-sygroup.org/index.php)

For example: AOOTest 1768-Support Object information and display

Why not say 1 package with en-US + all released (100%) languages ?

If we dont do it as one package pr language, but one package that contain
all languages, it does not take a lot extra compile time (+8% on my vm).

The Nepali translation [2] of Apache OpenOffice is only at 7% so a lot
more strings need to be translated before we can think of distributing
binaries for this language.

The Hindi translation [3] is already at 88% for the UI but only 12%
done for the help files.

The good thing about doing parallel builds is that the resources are

The bad thing about parallel builds is that the output of the
individual build processes get intermingled. This intermingled output
is incredibly hard to analyze.

E.g. the output of the xml module is not related to the eventual

testtools module.

To get relevant output for analyzing an eventual testtools problem I
suggest to change into the testtools directory and run

rm -rf unxmaccx* && build 2>&1 | tee build.out | grep -i error:
there. Please note that no "-P" option should be used to prevent the
intermingling of output.

This is the output:

A source of trouble could be if you are compiling using the XCode3
compiler. Are you using

export CC=`xcrun -f clang` -arch x86_64
export CXX=`xcrun -f clang++` -arch x86_64 -std=c++11
before running configure? If in doubt please use a new shell and a
clean checkout of the code base.
I have only XCode 4 on this mashin and I setted the two variables but I
forgot the -std=c++11 part. maybe this is the root. I will test it now

Thanks for your help

I personally share your views and it makes me sad to see that so called
open source advocates tolerate and support such things. Where as
individuals might not have interest in a clear and clean code base with
a proper and appropriate licensing. But I would have expected that
companies who are involved take it more serious.

I am still liking the open source idea and I believe it is good to reuse
code that is already implemented. But I also like the idea of upstream
changes to the original code base because it is the only way how open
source can work.

the first project was in the special situation that OpenOffice was in
it's transition to Apache and that some people tried hard to claim that
OpenOffice is dead and LO is the new and shining successor. Means the
situation at this time was not clear and the project constraints were
probably not defined detailed enough. I think it was not easy and the
involved people tried their best.

I think future projects can make it better and can ensure that the
changes are integrated in the lowest common code base.

And I disagree and think that collaboration make a lot of sense because
both projects can benefit from even more developers and wasting time
with useless merging of code is stupid.

well if we take the license issue out and look on the LO project only I
like a lot of things that work quite well. And I would love to see many
of them in place at Apache and AOO as well.

it must be something in your environment, I can build it without any
problems.

You ran a multi process build and in case of errors you should go in
each breaking module and try to build it separately to get a more
detailed error message.
