Dear Dr. Michael Stehmann,

In the light of the recent upsurge of COVID-19 cases in both the
Netherlands and the rest of the world, we have concluded that an event
that brings together people from many different places is not a very
good idea right now. Because of this, we have decided to postpone T-DOSE
a second time. We are looking at dates in April/May 2021. We hope very
much that conditions will have improved by then to such an extent that
letting T-DOSE take place is possible in a safe and healthy way.

We hope you will still be willing to be present with your project at
T-DOSE at a later date.

Best wishes,

The T-DOSE team

Hello,

it is a sad message, but a responsible decision.

Clausula rebus sic stantibus we will present FYMT of Freie Software
Freunde Freunde e. V. and Apache OpenOffice at T-DOSE at a later date.

Kind regards

Re: AOO418 cherry picks

2020-09-15 Thread Jim Jagielski
Hmmm... we still support 10.7 as the lowest macOS version on both truck and
AOO420 so somewhere, somehow, that got reverted. So let's go ahead and pull
those Issues into AOO418.

Correcting myself: I had re-committed Issue 127874 and Issue 127875 to
 4.1.6 after the Rollback.

So Issue 127887 could now be committed to 4.1.8.
We should discuss the change in configure.in regarding MacOS with Jim.

Minimum MacOS Version for trunk and 4.2.0 builds

2020-09-15 Thread Dave Fisher
Hi -

The 4.1,X line of releases should remain focused on MacOSX Lion 10.7.

Which version should we target for 4.2.0 and trunk?

Some facts:
(1) The minimum version of MacOSX you can get easily is Yosemite 10.10.
This runs on these machines. [1] The era is 2007-2009.

(2) Catalina 10.15 is Apple's preferred version
It runs on these machines. [2] The era is roughly 2012-2013.

(3) Building for Lion 10.7 requires special configuration of Xcode which makes
it hard to reproduce our community builds.

No hurry to have this discussion. I just wanted to gauge developers thoughts
before I make another attempt to build.

Regards,
Dave

Re: [GitHub] [openoffice] DonLewisFreeBSD opened a new pull request #94: Bundle418

2020-09-15 Thread Don Lewis
After dodging a local wildfire and potential evacuation, excessive heat
warnings and requests by the power company to conserve power, possible
rolling blackouts due to power shortages, high wind warnings with a two
day Public Safety Power Shutoff to avoid power-line caused fires, smoke
plumes from other fires within a couple of hundred miles that filled the
air with hazardous amounts of smoke, and then finally catching up on
some of my backlog ... I finally have the bundled software update for
AOO418 ready.
