Thank you. Do you still want access to the old as a built site? (I think it is
not needed.)

Which emails? The ones with the build.log attached? Or the one where I fixed
the css issue and touched 19000 html files? The build.log can be turned off.
The other won’t happen often; it would be cases like turning off google
analytics or a new design.

Dave

I just installed AOO 4.1.8 on Ubuntu 18.04 (in VirtualBox).

AOO detects both OpenJDK 8 and OpenJDK 11 without problems.
I didn't test Java 15.

I doubt that anyone has tested AOO before on WSL2... ;-)
I am still on WSL and can not start GUI programs.

I'm changing this to a "yes" for both sites after the recent changes.
Both sites are now almost identical to their CMS counterpart. Well done!

One thing I'd appreciate, but this goes off-topic, is better
notifications: I got a few e-mails yesterday containing 7 MBytes of logs
each and it is almost impossible to use them for monitoring.

Tools->Options->OpenOffice->Java freezing on Linux x64

2020-11-16 Thread John D'Orazio
Can anyone confirm if this is a real problem or if it's just me? When
launching OpenOffice 4.1.8 x64 on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04), if I open
Tools->Options->OpenOffice->Java , instead of listing the JREs on my system
after a minute or so, the whole OpenOffice instance just freezes. I've
tried a number of times on two different computers, even leaving it for
over 10 minutes, but no luck, I had to "sudo pkill -f soffice".

On one instance I believe I had a default JDK 15 when I installed
OpenOffice 4.1.8 and I wanted to make sure that OpenOffice would instead
use JDK 11, but I couldn't change it from this menu item.
On the other instance I had JDK 11 as the active java version.

I am using OpenJDK in both instances, on WSL 2 on Windows 10.

Actually the entire site is down (intermittently) for me too. Note that
I mean, exactly as in your mail, the project site
https://openoffice.apache.org not the product site openoffice.org.

$ curl https://openoffice.apache.org

Upon further testing, the above happens randomly, but if I try ten times
I always manage to get at least one "404 Not Found", while it works the
other times.

Yes, 4.2.0 should really be our next step.

Can you create a Tag for 4.1.8, this would be the final action for 4.1.8...

BTW: Today more than half a million downloads of AOO 4.1.8 since release!

Hello!

I'm the one who made the flyer, I can make an english version if you'd like. I
wouldn't mind.
It would be nice if we could distribute them.
