This used to be important to avoid flooding the mirrors. The mirrors that had disk space issues are now in a separate list which does not mirror OpenOffice. So yes, this still applies (and it is unrelated to hosting the binaries on SourceForge, as we keep a copy at Apache too; just, Apache has the disk space but not the bandwidth); and it is enough to send a quick mail to Infra for acknowledgment, exactly as you have done in the meantime. Infra notification?
According to http://www.apache.org/legal/release-policy.html#heads-up, infra needs to be notified in advance of releases of more than 1GB. What is the total size of our binaries? Do our releases really count for this, because most downloading will be from SourceForge, not ASF mirrors. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org
